Cross-Chain Payments

Send USDC and USDT stablecoins across different blockchains using NEAR Intents technology. reply.cash supports 25+ blockchains, allowing you to send wallet-to-wallet payments to recipients on any supported network.

Note: Cross-chain payments are for wallet-to-wallet transfers. For mobile money and bank deposits, use Local Payment Rails instead.

    • EVM chains: 0x-prefixed, 42-character hex address (e.g., 0x85F17Cf997934a597031b2E18a9aB6ebD4B9f6a4)
    • Bitcoin: Legacy (1 prefix), P2SH (3 prefix), Bech32 (bc1), or Taproot (bc1p)
    • Solana: Base58-encoded, typically 44 characters
    • NEAR: Named (something.near) or implicit (64-char hex)
    • See Supported Chains & Assets for complete address format details
  3. The app will validate the address format automatically

Option B: Scan QR Code

  1. Tap the scan icon or QR code button next to the address field
  2. Grant camera permissions if prompted
  3. Point your camera at the recipient's wallet QR code
  4. The address will be automatically filled in
  5. Verify the address matches the selected destination chain

Step 5: Enter Amount and Review

  1. Enter the amount you want to send
  2. Review the transaction details:
    • Source chain and asset
    • Destination chain and asset
    • Recipient address
    • Amount (in source currency)
    • Estimated amount recipient will receive (after conversion)
    • Transaction fees
    • Estimated processing time
  3. Double-check the recipient address - cross-chain transactions cannot be reversed

Step 6: Confirm and Send

  1. Tap "Confirm" or "Send"
  2. Approve the transaction in your wallet
  3. Wait for confirmation (usually 1-2 seconds for initial confirmation)

How Cross-Chain Payments Work

NEAR Intents Technology

reply.cash uses NEAR Intents to enable seamless cross-chain transfers:

  1. Initiation: You send USDC/USDT from your Solana wallet
  2. Intent Creation: NEAR Intents creates a cross-chain intent
  3. Routing: The system routes your payment to the destination chain
  4. Settlement: Funds are delivered to the recipient on their chain
  5. Confirmation: You receive confirmation when the transfer completes

Automatic Conversion

  • Assets are automatically converted between chains when needed
  • Exchange rates are determined by liquidity pools and market conditions
  • Conversion happens seamlessly during the transaction
  • No manual swaps or bridge interactions required

Transaction Fees

  • Source chain fees: You pay gas fees on Solana (SOL) for initiating the transaction
  • Cross-chain fees: Small fees for NEAR Intents routing and conversion
  • Destination chain fees: Covered by the routing system
  • Total fees are typically under $0.50 for most cross-chain transfers

Important Notes

Address Format Validation

  • Always verify the address format matches the destination chain
  • Wrong address formats will cause transaction failures
  • Double-check addresses before confirming - transactions cannot be reversed
  • Use QR code scanning when possible to avoid typos

Processing Times

  • Initial confirmation: 1-2 seconds (on Solana)
  • Cross-chain settlement: 2-5 minutes (via NEAR Intents)
  • Network congestion: May take longer during high-traffic periods
  • Track your transaction using the provided transaction hash

Supported Assets

  • USDC: Available on most supported chains
  • USDT: Available on most supported chains
  • Asset availability depends on the source and destination chains
  • The app will show available assets based on your selections

Limits and Restrictions

  • Minimum amounts vary by chain and asset
  • Maximum amounts depend on liquidity and network limits
  • Some chains may have additional restrictions
  • Check the app for current limits before sending

Troubleshooting

Transaction Failed

  • Check address format: Ensure the recipient address matches the destination chain
  • Verify sufficient balance: You need USDC/USDT and SOL for gas fees
  • Check network status: Verify both source and destination chains are operational
  • Try again: Network congestion may cause temporary failures

Long Processing Time

  • Normal delays: Cross-chain transfers typically take 2-5 minutes
  • Check transaction status: Use the transaction hash to track progress
  • Network congestion: High traffic may cause delays
  • Contact support: If delays exceed 30 minutes, reach out with transaction details

Wrong Address Format

  • Verify chain selection: Ensure you selected the correct destination chain
  • Check address format: Refer to Supported Chains & Assets for format requirements
  • Use QR code: Scanning reduces the chance of errors
  • Contact recipient: Ask them to verify their wallet address

Asset Not Available

  • Check chain support: Not all assets are available on all chains
  • Try different asset: USDC and USDT availability varies by chain
  • Check liquidity: Some chains may have limited liquidity
  • Contact support: Report if an asset should be available but isn't

Security Tips

  • βœ… Always double-check recipient addresses before confirming
  • βœ… Use QR code scanning when possible to avoid errors
  • βœ… Verify the destination chain matches the recipient's wallet
  • βœ… Start with small test amounts for new recipients
  • βœ… Save transaction receipts for your records
  • βœ… Never share your wallet recovery phrase
