What is Phantom Wallet?​

Creating a Phantom Account​

Desktop (Browser Extension)​

Step 1: Download Phantom Extension​

  1. Visit phantom.app
  2. Click "Download" button
  3. Choose your browser:

Step 2: Install Extension​

  1. Click "Add to Chrome" (or your browser)
  2. Click "Add Extension" in the popup

Step 3: Create New Wallet​

Step 4: Save Your Recovery Phrase​

  1. Phantom will display your 12-word recovery phrase
  2. Write down all 12 words in order on paper
  3. Never take screenshots or photos of your recovery phrase
  4. Never share it with anyone
  5. Store it in a safe, secure location
  6. Click "I've saved it somewhere safe" checkbox
  7. Click "Continue"

Step 5: Verify Recovery Phrase​

  1. Phantom will ask you to verify your recovery phrase
  2. Select the words in the correct order
  3. Click "Continue"
  4. Your wallet is now created!

Step 1: Download Phantom App​

  1. iOS: Visit App Store

When you create a Phantom wallet:

Desktop (Browser Extension)​

Method 1: Connect via dApp Website​

  1. Visit a Solana dApp (e.g., app.reply.cash)
  2. Click "Connect Wallet" or "Connect"
  3. Select "Phantom" from the wallet list

  1. While on app.reply.cash in Phantom's browser

Transaction Signing with Phantom​

Important: Every movement of funds requires your signature. reply.cash cannot move your funds without your explicit approval.

How Phantom Signing Works​

Desktop (Browser Extension):

  1. When you initiate a transaction on reply.cash, Phantom extension opens automatically
  2. Review the transaction details (amount, recipient, fees)
  3. Enter your password or use biometric authentication
  4. Click "Approve" or "Confirm" to sign the transaction
  5. Transaction is sent to Solana network

Mobile (iOS/Android):

  1. Transaction request appears in Phantom app
  2. Review transaction details
  3. Use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID) or enter password
  4. Tap "Approve" or "Confirm" to sign
  5. Transaction is processed

Signature Methods​

Phantom supports multiple signature methods:

  • Password: Enter wallet password to sign

Troubleshooting​

Phantom Extension Not Appearing​

Can't Connect to dApp​
