How it works:

  1. You connect your wallet (Solflare) to reply.cash
  2. You sign transactions to approve payments
  3. reply.cash facilitates the connection to local payment rails
  4. Merchant rails handle the actual conversion to local currency (KES, NGN, etc.)
  5. Your funds are never held by reply.cash - they move directly from your wallet to the recipient

Creating a Solflare Account​

Desktop (Browser Extension)​

Step 1: Download Solflare Extension​

  1. Visit solflare.com
  2. Click "Download" button
  3. Choose your browser:

Step 2: Install Extension​

  1. Click "Add to Chrome" (or your browser)
  2. Click "Add Extension" in the popup
  3. Wait for installation to complete
  4. Solflare icon will appear in your browser toolbar

Step 3: Create New Wallet​

  1. Click the Solflare icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Click "Create New Wallet"
  3. Read and accept the terms of service
  4. Create a password for your wallet (minimum 8 characters)
  5. Click "Continue"

Step 4: Save Your Recovery Phrase​

⚠️ CRITICAL: This is the most important step!

  1. Solflare will display your 12-word recovery phrase
  2. Write down all 12 words in order on paper
  3. Never take screenshots or photos of your recovery phrase
  4. Never share it with anyone
  5. Store it in a safe, secure location
  6. Click "I've saved it somewhere safe" checkbox
  7. Click "Continue"

Step 5: Verify Recovery Phrase​

  1. Solflare will ask you to verify your recovery phrase
  2. Select the words in the correct order
  3. Click "Continue"
  4. Your wallet is now created!

Mobile (iOS/Android)​

Step 1: Download Solflare App​

  1. iOS: Visit App Store
  2. Android: Visit Google Play Store
  3. Click "Install" or "Get"
  4. Wait for download and installation

Step 2: Create New Wallet​

  1. Open the Solflare app
  2. Tap "Create New Wallet"
  3. Read and accept the terms of service
  4. Create a password (or use biometric authentication)
  5. Tap "Continue"

Step 3: Save Your Recovery Phrase​

  1. Solflare will display your 12-word recovery phrase
  2. Write down all 12 words in order on paper
  3. Never take screenshots or photos
  4. Never share it with anyone
  5. Store it securely
  6. Tap "I've saved it somewhere safe"
  7. Tap "Continue"

Step 4: Verify Recovery Phrase​

  1. Select the words in the correct order
  2. Tap "Continue"
  3. Your mobile wallet is ready!

Adding Solana Support​

Good News: Solflare is a native Solana wallet, so Solana support is built-in by default! No additional setup is needed.

When you create a Solflare wallet:

  • ✅ Solana network is automatically enabled
  • ✅ You can receive SOL and SPL tokens immediately
  • ✅ All Solana dApps are accessible
  • ✅ No network switching required

Your Solana address:

  • Format: Base58-encoded (typically 32-44 characters)
  • Example: BYPsjxa3YuZESQz1dKuBw1QSFCSpecsm8nCQhY5xbU1Z
  • This is your Solana address for receiving SOL and USDC

Solflare Burner Wallet Feature​

What is a Burner Wallet?

A burner wallet is a temporary wallet that you create, use for a short period (typically a week or less), and then discard. Solflare offers built-in burner wallet functionality, making it easy to create and manage temporary wallets for privacy and security.

Why Use Burner Wallets?​

Privacy Benefits:

  • ✅ Not traced - Fresh wallet addresses aren't linked to your main wallet
  • ✅ Limited exposure - Only funds you transfer to burner wallet are exposed
  • ✅ Disposable - Discard wallet after use, breaking transaction links

Security Benefits:

  • ✅ Limited risk - Only keep a week's worth of budget in burner wallet
  • ✅ Isolated - If compromised, only burner wallet funds are at risk
  • ✅ Mobile-friendly - Keep burner wallets on mobile for convenience

Creating a Burner Wallet in Solflare​

Step 1: Open Solflare​

  1. Open Solflare extension or app
  2. Ensure your main wallet is unlocked

Step 2: Create Burner Wallet​

  1. Click "Add Wallet" or "Create Wallet"
  2. Select "Create Burner Wallet" or "Temporary Wallet"
  3. Solflare will generate a new wallet
  4. Save the recovery phrase (even for burner wallets, in case you need to recover)
  5. Click "Continue"

Step 3: Fund Your Burner Wallet​

  1. Transfer only what you need for the week
  2. Send SOL for gas fees
  3. Send USDC for payments
  4. Best Practice: Only fund with a week's worth of budget

Step 4: Use and Discard​

  1. Use burner wallet for payments
  2. When funds are depleted or week is up, discard the wallet
  3. Create a new burner wallet for next period

Accessing dApps with Solflare​

Desktop (Browser Extension)​

Method 1: Connect via dApp Website​

  1. Visit a Solana dApp (e.g., app.reply.cash)
  2. Click "Connect Wallet" or "Connect"
  3. Select "Solflare" from the wallet list
  4. Solflare extension will open automatically
  5. Review the connection request
  6. Click "Approve" or "Connect"
  7. Your wallet is now connected!

Method 2: Connect via Solflare Extension​

  1. Click the Solflare icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Click "Connect" or look for dApp connection options
  3. Enter the dApp URL or select from recent connections
  4. Approve the connection

Mobile (iOS/Android) - Quick Access Guide​

Quick Access from Solflare App​

Step 1: Open Solflare In-App Browser

  1. Open the Solflare app on your phone
  2. Unlock your wallet
  3. Tap the browser icon in the bottom navigation (globe icon)
  4. This opens Solflare's built-in browser

Step 2: Navigate to reply.cash

  1. In the address bar at the top, type: app.reply.cash
  2. Or visit: https://app.reply.cash
  3. Tap "Go" or press Enter

Step 3: Connect and Pin

  1. Tap "Connect Wallet" on reply.cash
  2. Select "Solflare" - it should auto-detect
  3. Approve the connection
  4. You're connected!

Step 4: Pin reply.cash to Home Screen (Recommended)

  1. While on app.reply.cash in Solflare's browser
  2. Tap the menu icon (three dots or hamburger menu) in the top right or bottom navigation
  3. Look for "Add to Home Screen" or "Pin" or "Bookmark" option
  4. Tap it
  5. Name it "reply.cash" or "Send Money"
  6. Tap "Add" or "Save"
  7. A reply.cash icon will appear on your home screen!

Now you can:

  • Tap the reply.cash icon on your home screen
  • It opens directly in Solflare's browser
  • Your wallet is automatically connected
  • Quick and easy access!

Alternative: External Browser Method​

  1. Open your mobile browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android)
  2. Navigate to app.reply.cash
  3. Tap "Connect Wallet"
  4. Select "WalletConnect" or "Solflare"
  5. Solflare app will open automatically
  6. Approve the connection
  7. Return to browser - you're connected!

To Pin in External Browser:

iOS (Safari):

  1. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up)
  2. Scroll down in the share menu
  3. Tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Edit the name to "reply.cash" if desired
  5. Tap "Add" in the top right
  6. reply.cash icon appears on your home screen

Android (Chrome):

  1. Tap the menu icon (three vertical dots) in the top right
  2. Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
  3. Review the prompt
  4. Tap "Add" or "Install"
  5. reply.cash icon appears on your home screen

Transaction Signing with Solflare​

Important: Every movement of funds requires your signature. reply.cash cannot move your funds without your explicit approval.

How Solflare Signing Works​

Desktop (Browser Extension):

  1. When you initiate a transaction on reply.cash, Solflare extension opens automatically
  2. Review the transaction details (amount, recipient, fees)
  3. Enter your password to unlock Solflare
  4. Click "Approve" or "Confirm" to sign the transaction
  5. Transaction is sent to Solana network

Mobile (iOS/Android):

  1. Transaction request appears in Solflare app
  2. Review transaction details
  3. Use biometric authentication (fingerprint/face ID) or enter password
  4. Tap "Approve" or "Confirm" to sign
  5. Transaction is processed

Signature Methods​

Solflare supports multiple signature methods:

  • Password: Enter wallet password to sign
  • Biometric: Use fingerprint (Touch ID) or face recognition (Face ID)
  • Hardware Wallet: If using Ledger, confirm on device

Note: The specific signing method depends on your Solflare wallet settings and device capabilities. reply.cash does not control how you sign - that's entirely up to your wallet.

Transaction Flow​

  1. Initiate Transaction: You start a payment on reply.cash
  2. Solflare Opens: Extension/app opens automatically
  3. Review Details: Check amount, recipient, network (Solana)
  4. Unlock Wallet: Enter password or use biometric
  5. Sign Transaction: Click "Approve" to sign
  6. Transaction Sent: Signed transaction sent to Solana network
  7. Confirmation: Transaction confirmed on blockchain

Funding Your Solflare Wallet​

Adding SOL (for Gas Fees)​

Method 1: Buy on Exchange

  1. Buy SOL on an exchange (Coinbase, Binance, etc.)
  2. Withdraw SOL to your Solflare wallet address
  3. Copy your Solflare address from the wallet
  4. Paste it as the withdrawal address on the exchange

Method 2: Swap in Solflare

  1. Open Solflare wallet
  2. Click "Swap" tab
  3. Select token to swap (e.g., USDC)
  4. Select SOL as output
  5. Enter amount and confirm swap

Method 3: Receive from Another Wallet

  1. Share your Solflare wallet address
  2. Have someone send you SOL
  3. SOL will appear in your wallet

Adding USDC (for Payments)​

Method 1: Buy and Transfer

  1. Buy USDC on an exchange
  2. Withdraw to your Solflare Solana address
  3. Ensure you're withdrawing to Solana network (not Ethereum)

Method 2: Swap in Solflare

  1. Open Solflare
  2. Click "Swap" tab
  3. Swap SOL or other tokens for USDC
  4. Confirm the swap

Connecting to reply.cash​

Desktop Connection​

  1. Visit app.reply.cash
  2. Click "Connect Wallet"
  3. Select "Solflare" from the list
  4. Solflare extension will open
  5. Click "Approve" or "Connect"
  6. Your wallet is connected!

Mobile Connection​

  1. Open Solflare App

    • Tap the Solflare app icon on your home screen
    • Unlock your wallet (password or biometric)

  2. Access In-App Browser

    • Tap the browser icon in the bottom navigation bar (usually a globe or browser icon)
    • Or tap "Browser" or "Web" tab if available

  3. Navigate to reply.cash

    • In the address bar, type: app.reply.cash
    • Or visit: https://app.reply.cash
    • Tap "Go" or "Enter"

  4. Connect Your Wallet

    • Tap "Connect Wallet" on reply.cash
    • Select "Solflare" from the wallet list
    • Approve the connection in Solflare
    • You're now connected!

  5. Pin reply.cash for Quick Access (Optional but Recommended)

    • While on app.reply.cash in Solflare's browser
    • Tap the menu icon (three dots or hamburger menu) in the browser
    • Select "Add to Home Screen" or "Pin" or "Bookmark"
    • Name it "reply.cash" or "Send Money"
    • Tap "Add" or "Save"
    • Now you can access reply.cash directly from your home screen!

Method 2: Using External Browser with WalletConnect​

  1. Open your mobile browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android)
  2. Navigate to app.reply.cash
  3. Tap "Connect Wallet"
  4. Select "WalletConnect" or "Solflare"
  5. Solflare app will open automatically
  6. Approve the connection
  7. Return to browser - you're connected!

Troubleshooting​

Solflare Extension Not Appearing​

  • Check Installation: Ensure Solflare is installed and enabled
  • Browser Restart: Restart your browser
  • Extension Enabled: Check browser extension settings
  • Update Solflare: Update to latest version

Can't Connect to dApp​

  • Wallet Unlocked: Ensure Solflare is unlocked
  • Correct Network: Solflare should be on Solana (default)
  • dApp Compatibility: Verify dApp supports Solflare
  • Clear Cache: Clear browser cache and try again

Mobile App Issues​

  • Update App: Update Solflare to latest version
  • Restart App: Force close and reopen
  • Check Internet: Ensure stable internet connection
  • Reinstall: As last resort, reinstall app (you'll need recovery phrase)

Transaction Failures​

  • Insufficient SOL: Need SOL for gas fees (not just USDC)
